Mission and Membership Options
Future Leaders of Coworking (FLOC) is dedicated to helping emerging leaders in the coworking industry through networking, career development, and knowledge sharing. We aim to create a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive community that uplifts members and strengthens the coworking ecosystem.
Members will have access to the Heartbeat platform (the Platform) to communicate with other members, access and upload content. Members’ access to the Platform is governed by the Terms of Use [insert hyperlink to Terms of Use]
FLOC offers membership to individual members and to corporate members.
By paying membership fees, you accept this Agreement, our Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
By joining, members commit to embodying the following values:

Community First – Placing the well-being and success of the community above personal gain.
3. Membership Term & Renewal
Your membership begins on the date that you pay the relevant fees and continues for the subscription period that you select (monthly or annual). You will be able to choose your membership term on you application on the website.
Memberships automatically renew unless cancelled by FLOC in accordance with this section.
Renewal Notification: As a courtesy, FLOC will send members a reminder notice 45 days prior to the upcoming renewal of an annual membership or 15 days prior to the renewal of a monthly membership to the email address used for payment.
Cancellation Notice: To prevent automatic renewal, members must notify FLOC at least 30 days before the annual renewal date, or 15 days before the monthly renewal date by sending an email to hello@futureleadersofcoworking.com from the email address associated with the membership. Cancellations submitted less than 30 days (for annual membership) and 15 days (for monthly membership) before renewal may result in charges for the next membership period.
Automatic Renewal: If cancellation notice is not received within the required timeframe, your membership will automatically renew for the selected term, and payment will be processed using the saved payment method.
4. Payments
All membership fees are billed via Stripe, and you authorize recurring payments until cancellation.
Failure to maintain an active payment method will result in suspension or termination of membership.
5. Refund & Return Policy
No Refunds: Save as set out in Section 14, all membership fees are non-refundable. FLOC does not issue prorated refunds for unused membership periods. Membership entitles you to a specified number of annual credits as set out in the membership options on the website.
Users: Individual memberships are personal, non-transferable, and may not be assigned. Corporate memberships consist of a defined number of named users. The named users may not transfer of assign their membership to other users without our consent.
Events & Programs. If FLOC cancels an event other than due to a Force Majeure Event, you may be entitled to credits being returned (at FLOC’s sole discretion).
Chargebacks & Disputes: You agree not to initiate chargebacks. All payment disputes must be addressed directly with FLOC by emailing hello@futureleadersofcoworking.com. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in suspension or termination.
6. FLOC Code of Conduct
You agree to always abide by the FLOC Code of Conduct set out below:
Professionalism: Engage respectfully and constructively in all discussions, meetings, and events.
No Solicitation or Poaching: Direct solicitation, recruiting, or hiring attempts of other members is prohibited. You should ask FLOC’s permission before sharing details of any employment opportunities with other members.
Confidentiality: Conversations between members and all shared resources are confidential to the disclosing party unless explicitly permitted by the disclosing party. No member will transfer any other member’s personal data to any third party unless explicitly permitted by the relevant member.
Constructive Engagement: Members will avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive conduct.
7. Violations & Removal Process
The following process applies to members who violate the FLOC Code of Conduct:
Warning – A private discussion to clarify and correct behavior.
Review & Discussion – If issues continue, a formal review and possible final warning by FLOC leadership.
Removal – Repeated or severe violations of the FLOC Code of Conduct may result in removal without refund.
Appeal – Members may appeal a removal decision within 14 days. FLOC leadership will reconsider the removal, and its decision is final.
8. Intellectual Property
FLOC IP:
All FLOC resources, including but not limited to toolkits, guides, recordings and event content (FLOC IP) remain the property of FLOC and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without FLOC’s written consent.
FLOC grants members a non-exclusive, worldwide, fully paid, revocable license to use the FLOC IP for internal purposes during their membership. Each member warrants that it will not transfer FLOC IP to any third party without obtaining FLOC’s consent in writing.
Member IP:
You retain ownership of content you submit to FLOC platforms.
By posting or sharing content, you grant FLOC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licenseto use, reproduce, distribute, and display such content in connection with our services.
You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on the rights of others or violate any applicable laws.
9.Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer
No Professional Advice: FLOC encourages the informal sharing of business ideas and general discussion among members. Nothing shared, posted, or communicated within FLOC constitutes legal, financial, investment, accounting, tax, or any other form of professional advice. Members should seek independent professional counsel before acting on any information obtained through FLOC.
Disclaimer of Warranties: ALL FLOC content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. FLOC expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, or suitability of any content posted by members; and
warranties that access to FLOC content will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Member-Generated Content: FLOC does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any content, business ideas, proposals, opinions, or representations shared by members. Each member is solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their own contributions. FLOC makes no representation that any business idea or information shared within FLOC is viable, lawful, original, or free from third-party intellectual property rights.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FLOC shall not be liable for any:
direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damagesarising out of or in connection with membership of or participation in FLOC
loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or reputational harm;
reliance placed by any member or third party on content shared within FLOC; or
unauthorised access to, or alteration or loss of, a member's data or communications.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is brought (whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute, or otherwise) and even if the Forum Operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Cap on Liability: In any event, FLOC’s total aggregate liability to any member shall not exceed the greater of (a) any membership fee paid by that member in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £200.
Third-Party Links and Resources: The FLOC platform may contain links to or references of third-party websites, tools, or resources. FLOC has no control over such third-party content and accepts no responsibility for it. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by FLOC.
Statutory Rights: Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Termination of Membership
FLOC may suspend or terminate your membership without refund if you breach the Code of Conduct, the Terms of Use, or do not pay your fees within 10 days of being informed that your payment method has failed.
Upon termination, your membership rights will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer, and liability clauses) will continue to apply.
12. Force Majeure
FLOC shall not be in breach of this Agreement, nor liable to any member for any delay in performance or failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement, to the extent that such delay or failure results directly from a Force Majeure Event. A Force Majeure Event means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of FLOC, including but not limited to acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, public health emergency, failure or disruption of third-party infrastructure or cyberattack, hacking or malicious interference with FLOC’s systems.
If a Force Majeure Event continues for a period exceeding ninety (90) consecutive days, FLOC reserves the right to suspend or permanently discontinue the services without liability to any member.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Changes to the Membership Agreement
We may update this Membership Agreement from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Effective Date”. Continued use of the FOC services constitutes acceptance of the revised Membership Agreement.
